This year regular season NFL game coverage begins on Nov. 6 earlier than normal with the Denver Broncos at Cleveland Browns and will broadcast its last game during Week 16 of the season. Seven of the games are Thursdays, one is on a Saturday, and they will feature five of last season’s division winners and six playoff teams. NFL Network will broadcast Live two hour pre-game show from each host city prior to its game telecasts. Documentary Channel has reached an agreement with IMAX distributor Northstar Media to broadcast 21 films. The agreement multiyear agreement will include Tom Cruise’s Space Station. Industry sources reveal that the package of the films worth to $600 million in gross box office receipts, which will include three of the top 10 highest-grossing films in IMAX history. Documentary Channel, which has 12 million-subscribers, will exclusively distribute the IMAX Film package. The films that are lined up in distribution are Magnificent Desolation, The Panda

Mike Myers will host 2008 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, June 1, live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. Mike Myers’ second tour of duty as master of ceremonies of the MTV Movie Awards, which will see the gathering of Hollywood stars in various categories as “Best Comedic Performance,” “Best Kiss” and “Best villain” for the Golden Popcorn trophy.
“I’ve spent the last year and a half of my life having the most fun ever working on The Love Guru and now I’m thrilled to have the chance to work with Judy McGrath, Van Toffler and Mark Burnett,” Myers said in a statement. “Hosting the MTV Movie Awards is like a party, but without having to do beer runs in your mom’s mini van; we do beer runs in Will Smith’s four-story motor home.”

Discovery Channel has announced its new high-definition channel launch of Planet Green.
Discovery Channel’s new channel will be first of it kind and will be 24 hour eco-lifestyle television network will be on air on June 4 at 6 p.m. ET. Discovery Home Channel is renamed to Planet Green and will have various new programming line-up. As per the channels website the channel will reach 50 million homes with more than 250 hours of original lifestyle programming and the website have no clear message that which are the providers to carry the new channel. The channel will have new programs like The Green Life and Supper Club With Tom Bergeron.

The rumors of the cooking competition on Food Network over past several months has come to an end, the network has announced this on Tuesday. The contest will be to find the nation’s top sous chef. This show will join the networks primetime and daytime blocks. Food Network viewership has increased considerably of 874,000 total viewers an increase of 13% over the same period last year. The Network has many new programming in the store like Feasting on Waves, The Chef Jeff Project and Eat the Clock. “It is this passion for the brand that drives our viewer engagement,” president of Food Network Brooke Johnson said. ABC is getting ready for the next season by ordering more pilots for the fall. ABC has ordered three comedy projects like the family comedy Never Better, another family comedy Roman’s Empire and another untitled family comedy. ‘Never Better’ was written by vet writer David Walpert and to be produced by ABC Studios and ex-NBC entertainment chief Warren Littlefield’s production company.The other comedy show ‘Roman’s Empire’ written by Al Higgins centers on a guy who finds himself intertwined with the family of his ex-girlfriend. Kristin Newman wrote the pilot for the untitled project from ABC Studios and Dreamworks TV.
