Comedy Central and SpectrumDNA Studios are teaming up to create the Political Addictionary, a populist site for political lingo enthusiasts at http://politicaladdictionary.com. The Political Addictionary, an invention of SpectrumDNA Studios, is a linguistic barometer for the country’s political climate and Comedy Central also joins with the SpectrumDNA Studios. The institutional dictionaries of the English language haven’t yet caught up with the antics of our politicians, or the craziness of the political process. This inventive wiki-like engine allows users to invent and catalogue new words to help keep the lexicon relevant, irreverent and contemporary.

Starz Entertainment’s Encore Westerns presents the world television premiere of the restored and newly remastered Academy Award-winning epic How the West Was Won on Saturday, August 30 at 8:00 PM ET. The film will also be available on Encore HD On Demand day and date with Encore Westerns. The 1962 production, directed in three parts by John Ford, Henry Hathaway and George Marshall, follows four generations of a family from 1839 to 1889 as they move westward from New York State toward the Pacific Ocean. The film features a “who’s who” of Hollywood legends including John Wayne, Henry Fonda, James Stewart, Gregory Peck, Richard Widmark, Debbie Reynolds, Eli Wallach, Lee J. Cobb, Karl Malden, Walter Brennan, and is narrated by Spencer Tracy.

The Disney Channel will present “The Cheetah Girls One World” on Friday, August 22 at 8:00 PM, ET/PT. As part of a joint initiative between Disney Channel, the #1 cable channel in primetime for kids age 6-14, and Girl Scouts, the preeminent organization for girls age 5-17, to celebrate community service, leadership, diversity and friendship organised the Members of Girl Scouts of USA to spent a day on location in Mumbai, India with actresses Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, Sabrina Bryan and Deepti Daryanani, stars of “The Cheetah Girls One World.”

The Girl Scouts will present the “The Road to The Cheetah Girls One World” at camp and council events and via regular communication with its 250 councils throughout the summer. The organization will also host Bollywood-themed screening parties on Saturday, August 23 to coincide with the movie’s premiere weekend.

Spike TV to premiere on Sunday, August 24 10:00 PM - Midnight, ET/PT, ‘S.I.S.,’ A ‘Spike Guy Movie’ in high-definition about secret Unit Of Los Angeles Police Department. The film stars Matt Nable, Peter Stebbings, Omari Hardwick, Colleen Porch and Keith David. “S.I.S.” is presented as part of Spike TV’s “Spike Guy Movies” umbrella of original movies. Since its launch in January 2008, Spike TV’s original “Spike Guy Movies” average nearly 1.5 million viewers each month.

GolTV, the only live bilingual channel delivering 24/7 soccer was removed from DISH Network lineup from Friday, August 1. DISH subscribers are disappointed that they have lost GolTV’s exclusive, live from London, TV coverage of the Emirates Cup. This decision also falls on the verge of 2010 World Cup qualifying matches and season kick-offs of GolTV’s exclusive TV coverage of the Spain’s La Liga on August 31 and Germany’s Bundesliga on August 15. GolTV is available on DIRECT TV, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Cox, Verion FiOS and Cablevision.

“Dish Network has demonstrated total disregard for independent networks, the millions of soccer fans we represent, and minority-owned businesses by this action,” said Rodrigo Lombello, GolTV COO. “We urge upset Dish viewers to contact us or Dish to voice their concerns.”

Lifetime Networks today announced the launch of the ‘Every Woman Counts’ a bus tour to engage women in the political process this election season and beyond. At each tour stop, women will be able to upload videos to Lifetime’s YouTube Channel declaring what they would do if they were president, highlighting the issues most important to them this historic presidential election year. The tour will wind across the country making 14 stops in 11 markets, including Denver and Minneapolis/Saint Paul for the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, where Lifetime will host a series of high-profile Every Woman Counts events.

FSN will broadcast EliteXC mixed martial arts (MMA) Match specials in September and October. The value of the deal is not disclosed. FSN will bring four one-hour slots on Sunday’s in September at 9 PM and into early October, will showcase many elite fighters, including Internet sensation Kimbo Slice, MMA legend Frank Shamrock, EliteXC Lightweight Champion K.J. Noons and Phil “The New York Bad Ass” Baroni. These specials will be hosted by Jay Glazer, along with FSN’s MMA analyst and former Icon Sport champion Frank Trigg.

MTV Tr3s will present high fashion and hot music on “MTV Tr3s Fashionista,” which premieres on August 16th at 2 PM. Taped in front of a live studio audience, “MTV Tr3s Fashionista” is hosted by former model and actress Natalie Martinez and MTV Tr3s VJ L.Boogs with Karli Henriquez as backstage correspondent. The program features celebrity models like America’s Next Top Model winner Jaslene Gonzalez and Danity Kane’s Aubrey O’Day walking the runway and showcasing Fall 2008 looks from a mix of Latino and Anglo designers.
